Chocolate reigns in tomorrow’s five-course meal

Chocolate fans, this is your moment. Dine on food that features chocolate in every bite.

The five-course chocolate-themed dinner happens tomorrow night at Sugar Mill. It s part of the Denver FIVE, a collaboration between some of the city s best chefs.

The first course is Chocolate and Pasilla Braised Short Rib with cinnamon carrot curtido, black pepper cream and cotija cheese, prepared by Enrique Socarras, executive chef at Suehiro Old Town.

For the second course, it s Espresso Rubbed Colorado Lamb Chop with charred raspberry aioli and coco nibs, from Aniedra Nichols, alumna chef and executive chef at Elway’s Cherry Creek.

Third course is Seared Wagyu with furikake crumble, fermented ramp and asparagus salad, coco-nib miso dressing, from John Depierro, executive chef at Bones.

Fourth course is Crispy Rabbit Sausage with cauliflower, carrot and vadouvan curry, from Kevin Grossi, chef de cuisine at Lola Mexican Fish House.

To finish, its Chocolate A Trois with dark chocolate-orange torte and chocolate caviar; white chocolate-saffron ice cream; milk chocolate-jasmine crème brulee, prepared by Noah French, co-owner and executive pastry chef at Sugarmill.

Tickets for the May 19 dinner are $60 each.
